As the VP of Strategic Marketing & Public Relations in a boutique agency, I wear many of hats! I am responsible for all corporate communication and new business development and strategy for both clients and the agency as well as managing the public relations department & affiliating marketing programs. I am an only child, grew up in Minneapolis on a pretty healthy diet of high culture - symphony, theatre, opera, museums etc., I'm a huge history buff, documentary junkie with a passion for 1930's & 1940's vintage everything! I love B&W movies, fabulous shoes, the complexities of Cubism, great dive bars & learning new things - I am constantly registering myself & my husband for new classes. I am currently learning about DYI projects as I am discovering the joys of home ownership - go powertools!
I had my first job at 16 as the Creative Activities Coordinator at the YWCA summer day camp and have been working steadily ever since. I lack patience in an form and despise people who use "its not my job" when something needs to get done, I believe there is nothing I or anyone else 'can't' do if they apply themselves.
Prior to moving to FL I spent the last 9 years in NYC where I worked primarily in luxury goods, managing brands like Harry Winston, Veuve Cliquout and Escada (no power-tools here).
I started my own marketing & public relations firm in 2001 and two years later expanded the company to include a product placement division. Starting from nothing, the company boasted 150% growth annually and an impressive roster of both major & indie clients. I had a double major in Journalism & Art History at Syracuse University and earned a Management Certificate from Stern School of Business at NYU.
